About the Charlottesville Waldorf Foundation

The CHARLOTTESVILLE WALDORF FOUNDATION was established in 2003 to build a new home for the Charlottesville Waldorf School and the greenest school in America. As part of a network of over 900 Waldorf schools worldwide, the Charlottesville Waldorf School has, for over twenty years, taught global environmental responsibility as an integral part of its curriculum. By building the greenest school in America - and demonstrating the fiscal wisdom and pragmatism of doing so - it is our goal to teach by example and pave the way for a new, sensible movement for sustainability among other schools, corporations and individual.
