Waldorf Construction Update (6/9/2010)

Dear CWS Community,

Below you will find tidbits about the building project, in case you were not able to attend one of the tours.  Current parent Marie Lynch described her experience of the emerging new structures by saying, "I felt hugged!"  Indeed, walking through the buildings is a truly remarkable experience. "It took my breath away, " said one parent. "It felt so much bigger in the pavilion once I was inside," said another.  The upper level of the Library & Arts Building reminds many of us of being in a tree-house because of the elevation and the beautiful view of the verdant campus.

We are pleased to report that five of our classes have reached 100% participation in giving, thereby earning a pizza party on Thursday!  Congrats to those parents who were able to get their donations in by the deadline.  The campaign continues, of course, so the incentives for giving will continue. Stay tuned!  We also want to give another shout-out, to Kayleigh McCoy, rising 6th grader, who baked and sold cookies in support of the building project!  The rising 6th graders will continue this effort at Penn Park throughout the summer.
